Kingsfleet Lunch Club – at The Guildhall, Bury St Edmunds

On Wednesday 15th March, Kingsfleet were delighted to hold our third Lunch Club, in the beautiful surroundings of The Guildhall, in Bury St Edmunds. Before sitting down to chat over a delicious lunch, guests enjoyed the chance to visit the “Ops Room”, where a tour guide explained the fascinating story of the Royal Observer Corps, who helped win the Battle of Britain.

Before lunch was served, Colin welcomed the guests and shared our news about the Gary Gladwell Fund, which has been set up in memory of our beloved friend and colleague. This will support disadvantaged children in Suffolk and all the team will be taking part in the Orwell Challenge charity walk in June to raise funds for it.

Martine Swaep, Partner at Greene & Greene was our guest speaker and, after lunch she gave a very informative talk about lasting power of attorney, wills and inheritance tax. Colin then rounded off the event with further news from Kingsfleet including an update about our recent awards success and a brief summary of the impact on the investment world caused by recent national and global events – as well as some breaking news from the day’s Budget announcements!
