Supporting our local Hospice Suffolk Remembers 2023

Each year St Elizabeth’s Hospice invites the community to come together at its much-loved remembrance event, Suffolk Remembers, to bring Suffolk Day to a close.

This unique event sees people from across the region gather to remember special relatives and friends, lighting up Felixstowe’s beautiful Seafront Gardens with 5,000 candles as the sun sets on the longest day of the year.

Kingsfleet were proud to once again sponsor the letter ‘K’, as we have each year since 2019. Together with other local sponsors, Colin, Mel and Hannah joined a team of volunteers to fill the large wooden letters that spell out SUFFOLK REMEMBERS with beautiful candles, in memory and celebration of loved ones. We added our own candle in memory of our dear colleague and friend, Gary Gladwell, who passed away last year. It was very special to be able to take a moment to remember him as part of such a beautiful event

This year’s event was held on the evening of Wednesday 21 June, with live performances from Ipswich singer, Roma Manteiga-Nicholson, Pop Chorus choir and Martlesham Brass, as well as a number of poetry readings.
